California Drought Information

On April 1, 2015 Governor Brown issued a mandatory order requiring a 25% reduction of water use. This was calculated by Gallon Per Capita Day (“GPCD”), meaning Cities that have higher use will be required to conserve more.

The City of Port Hueneme’s GPCD is 63.5, meaning the average citizen uses 63.5 gallons of water per day.  Accordingly, Port Hueneme residents will be required to reduce their water use by 8%. For comparison, the City of Ventura has a GPCD of 91.3 and will be required to reduce water use by 16%. The City of Thousand Oaks has a GPCD of 163.7 and will be required to reduce water use by 28%.
